Natalee Holloway, Part Seven (Breaking News)

Various international news agencies are reporting that Joran van der Sloot, the principal suspect in the disappearance of Natalee Holloway, is now the prime suspect in the beating and stabbing death of twenty-one-year-old Stephany Flores Ramirez, the daughter of Peruvian business man and racer Ricardo Flores.

Ms. Flores was last seen alive leaving a casino in Lima, Peru, with van der Sloot. Natalee Holloway was last seen alive leaving a bar in Aruba with van der Sloot nearly five years ago to the day from Ms. Flores's disappearance.

Ms. Flores's body was found in a hotel room registered to van der Sloot. Joran himself has apparently fled Peru in a pick-up truck and crossed into Chile. Sources state his destination is Argentina.

Dutch news agencies are reporting that an international arrest warrant has been issued for van der Sloot, and that Interpol, the international police agency, is searching for him.

Update: Ms. Flores was, according to the latest reports, murdered on May 30. It was on May 30, 2005 that Natalee Holloway disappeared.

Various news agencies are now reporting that Ms. Flores was stabbed repeatedly, that her body was found wrapped in a blanket, that there was a considerable amount of blood at the scene, and that the hotel room in which she was found was "trashed", to use CNN's word. The chief of police in Lima is reported to have stated that they have found a considerable amount of evidence that implicates van der Sloot, though no details have been provided.
